DESCRIPTION:Calling all Arlington civic-minded individuals: Volunteer Arlington is re-launching Causes & Cocktails, but for the first time – it will be in person at the Commentary in the Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel. Gather together to learn about an important cause impacting the local community. Connect with local nonprofits working to make a difference in that area and find friendships with peers who also want to give back.\nThis event is free to attend, but we ask that you register in advance for planning purposes. Your time and drink purchases will support the cause! Based on the generosity of our hosts at “The Commentary,” a percentage of drink sales at the event will be donated to the featured nonprofits.\nOur first cause: Homelessness\nOur nonprofit partners: Bridges to Independence, CRi, Doorways, and PathForward\nGetting there: The Commentary is located in the Westin Arlington Gateway. The hotel is located right next to the Ballston Metro station (Silver & Orange line). Parking validation is available in the Westin Arlington Gateway hotel garage.\n
