Karen Rosales has served as the CEO of Arlington Community Federal Credit Union (now CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union) since 2014.

With more than 30 years in financial services, Karen has held executive roles across multiple Washington, DC–area credit unions. In her capacity as CEO, she leads the credit union’s strategy and operations with an emphasis on member service, mortgage and business services growth, innovation, and digital strategy. On July 1, 2026, Arlington Community Federal Credit Union and CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union officially came together under the CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union name – bringing together the best of both organizations while honoring the history that shaped each of them.

Previously as Chief Operating Officer, she helped steer major organizational changes, including cultural transformation, branch expansions, a “Remarkable Service” approach to serving members, and the adoption of a project-management culture.

Karen holds a BSBA in International Business and Marketing from American University’s Kogod School of Business and has served on numerous industry and community nonprofit boards. She currently serves on the boards of Callahan & Associates, the Leadership Center of Arlington, and Kitchen of Purpose. Outside of work, she enjoys road cycling and traveling. Karen and her husband Fernando have two adult children, both of whom are getting married in 2027!
