BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Brian Stout (Leadership Alexandria '22) is a native Arlingtonian with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of politics, policy, and community, working across federal, state, and local government.

At Amazon, Brian helps lead policy development, engagement, and advocacy efforts in support of HQ2 in Arlington and the company's broader presence in the National Capital Region and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Previously, he served in the Arlington County Manager's Office as Federal Liaison. Earlier in his career, Brian worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to Representatives Joe Scarborough, Jeff Miller, and Tom Davis, and as a Professional Staff Member on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Relations from James Madison University.

In addition to his role with the Leadership Center for Arlington, Brian serves on the Arlington Economic Development Commission and the Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council, appointed by the Arlington County Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Arlington Soccer Association and is the assistant coach for the Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Team at Yorktown High School.

Brian lives in Arlington with his wife and two daughters.
