2026 Volunteer Awards to Be Presented at Arlington Cares

Arlington, VA – Volunteer Arlington, a public-private partnership between the Leadership Center of Arlington and Arlington County, will hold its tenth annual Arlington Cares event on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Van Metre Auditorium at George Mason University, Mason Square.

This celebration of volunteerism recognizes annual Volunteer Award winners and people who volunteered for 100 hours or more with an individual organization between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.

“Volunteers are a necessary part of the equation in meeting some of our biggest challenges. This annual event celebrates this truth and highlights some of our community leaders who genuinely care about making a meaningful impact,” said Lisa Fikes, President and CEO of the Leadership Center of Arlington. “Bring yourself, your family, your colleagues for an evening of celebration and inspiration. Through their stories, you will be reminded of the good in this world and perhaps find a new idea for joining the volunteer movement.”
