Introducing the Leadership Center of Arlington

Arlington, VA – Today, the Leadership Center for Excellence unveiled its new name, Leadership Center of Arlington.

Supporting the new name is a reimagined visual identity. At the heart of the new logo, the “A” signifies the organization being based in Arlington, VA. The flame represents the illuminating power of connecting leaders for personal growth, civic engagement, and community impact.

“The renewed identity reflects the Leadership Center of Arlington’s updated mission, vision, and values,” says Stephen Leach, Board Chair. “It thoughtfully honors the pioneers and successes of more than 25 years of leadership programming, while also igniting possibilities for future community and regional impact.”

Since the organization was created in 1998, it has evolved from one signature program, Leadership Arlington, to a suite of programs, events, and initiatives which link individuals to a variety of opportunities for connection, development, and inspiration.

Program names include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead: Connecting established leaders
  • Ignite: Developing emerging leaders
  • Inspire: Empowering youth leaders
  • On Board: Elevating nonprofit board leaders
  • Volunteer Arlington: Connecting individuals, groups, and businesses with volunteer and civic engagement opportunities

“There are many ways to engage with the Leadership Center of Arlington,” said Lisa Fikes, President and CEO. “While based in Arlington, our programs offer individuals a chance to listen and learn from a diversity of voices and experiences, grow from new relationships and understandings, and use those experiences to meet the challenges of an evolving world.”

The organization will celebrate its new identity and vision at its annual Leadership Summit and Reception on Thursday, May 16. This year’s theme is the Evolution of Leadership, with keynote speaker, Eugene Robinson, Pulitzer Prize-winning Columnist, the Washington Post and Political Analyst, MSNBC. Learn more and register.
